The Independent is a UTSA student newsmagazine created by the group Student News Media. It launched on September 25, 2006 and publishes on Mondays throughout the fall and spring semester.
The "office" is at Desk #2-23 in the Student Activities Office. Student Activities is located in the new University Center.

If you're interested in writing for the Independent, you can contact us at the email above, or stop by one of the meetings. Staff meetings are held on Wednesdays at 7PM.
The meeting location for the fall semester is in the second floor of the Student Activities Center.
